The Sunshine Coast is jam packed with places to stay while on holiday. Noosa accommodation is by far the most sought after destination on the coast. Visitors from all over Australia and the world come to this lush, green region chock full of boutique shops and restaurants.
The best secret on the Sunshine Coast is Marcoola and Mudjimba. Flanked by the ocean and a river and very close to the airport, Marcoola is slowly becoming a destination in its own right. The Surfair Resort on Marcoola Beach is easily one of the Coasts hottest properties.
For some of the best surfing around Alexandra Headland could be it. Its rocky headland produces some great waves on the point and gentle conditions for kids on the 
sheltered main beach. The Alex Surf Club is a favourite for visitors and locals alike.
The first seaside suburb on the Sunshine Coast is Caloundra. This place is made for families with parents having the choice of 6 beaches to swim in safely. There are several parks and picnic areas and water fountains for kids to play in on the Caloundra foreshore.
Every year the Australian PGA Championship is held at the Hyatt Regency at Coolum, and is one of the top golf course in the country. Sprawling over 150 hectares at the base of Mount Coolum surrounded by bushland and rainforest this is a true 5 star Australian Resort. Coolum continues to expand with shops, restaurants and resorts and is an excellent choice for getaway holidays on the Sunshine Coast.
The main business and shopping area on the Coast is Maroochydore. With the Maroochy River running down one side, this is a great are for picnics and boating. With beautiful golden beaches, a mouth watering array of bars and restaurants and all the lastest shopping outlets, Maroochydore provides everything for holiday makers.
The best spot on the Sunshine Coast to base yourself to be close to all the action is Mooloolaba. It is here where the Deep sea fishing charters depart and where you will find Underwater World, an aqua museum suited for kids and adults. Restaurants here have the freshest seafood and are in high demand. Accommodation in Mooloolaba is of a high quality so for resorts and hotels right on the beach you pay top dollar… but its worth it.
