With the world in the midst of a recession, travel is going to be one of the first things to be avoided by people feeling the crunch. The luxury destinations may feel the pinch but budget resorts and cheaper holiday areas should go well. Fiji has avoided the global meltdown and its business as usual for these laid back islanders. The Fiji capital is Suva. While the other major city of Nadi is the tourist capital, Suva Fiji always has great value for money accommodation available and is close to the resorts and attractions on the east of the island. Just 40 minutes drive from Suva is the fast developing Pacific Harbour. With long beaches and Fiji’s only championship golf course its easy to see why Pacific Harbour is doing so well.
