Canberra Accommodation

Canberra is the capital of the ACT (Australian Capital Territory) and is also the capital of Australia. Right we all know that. But is it as well known that this city boasts the country’s most significant institutions? Places like the National Library of Australia, Australian War Memorial and the National Museum of Australia. Canberra is also where you will find Australian National Botanic Gardens, Parliament House and the Royal Australian Mint. Out of all these things to see and do the number one ‘must’ is Black Mountain Tower (formerly Telstra Tower). Not just a communication tower, it has an indoor observation deck providing breath-taking and insightful views over Canberra city. With 360 degree views of the city, a souvenir shop, coffee shop and a revolving restaurant the Tower is a tourist destination in its own right.
For a population of just under 350,000 people, the range of canberra accommodation is huge. With many conferences, festivals and functions going on in the city, Canberra needs a large supply of rooms. Especially when the politicians are in town. All the major hotel chains have a presence, like the Hyatt Hotel Canberra, Crowne Plaza Canberra and the Novotel Canberra.
You never know… a holiday getaway to Canberra might just be the vacation location you have been looking for.
